The 2023 U.S. Open champion Coco Gauff is already a style icon, thanks in no small part to her cute (and performance-driven) New Balance sneakers. The Coco Gauff Collection is cool, clean, and available to shop now for the tennis-loving public.
My favorite is easily the CG2, a court shoe that I’d happily wear around the clock (even though I have no plans to swing a racket anytime soon). And now, it’s about to get a high-end upgrade, thanks to a chic new collaboration.
New Balance’s ongoing partnership with the luxe Italian brand Miu Miu will dress Gauff in color-blocked tennis sets for her upcoming tournament appearances in Rome, Berlin, and Cincinnati. Each set features different accent colors (navy, white, and red for Rome; white, green, and sky blue for Berlin; and red, white, and royal blue for Cincinatti)—because who doesn’t like a little variety? Gauff will pair these sporty pieces with the limited-edition CG2s. Where the standard model skews simple and streamlined, these pairs have a modern edge, with technical details.
When Gauff’s not playing, she’ll wear co-branded warm-up gear, including zip-up hoodies and trackpants. Made from silk in the same colorways as her on-court sets, these tracksuits are the stuff of matching set dreams. A pair of New Balance x Miu Miu 530 SL sneakers will complete her ’fits. With their mix of materials (suede and mesh), low-cut profile, and mismatched laces, they basically scream “cool everyday sneaker.” You could wear them to work, out on the town, or for a breezy walk and look perfectly on-theme.
With both her in-action and off-duty ensembles covered, it’s going to be yet another chic season for Gauff.
